Trash

When you delete a file, folder, or other item in Stashii, it moves to Trash first. Trash holds items for 30 days before removing them permanently.

How Trash Works

• Deleted items stay in Trash for up to 30 days.
• After 30 days, items are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
• Emptying Trash or using Delete Forever removes items immediately and cannot be undone.
• Deleting a folder moves the folder and everything inside it to Trash.

View Trash

Click Trash in the sidebar (Web) or go to Settings > Trash (Mobile). Browse deleted items and use breadcrumbs to open trashed folders.

Restore Items

1. Open Trash and select one or more items.
2. Choose Restore.

Restored items return to their original location in your Library.

Permanently Delete Items

1. Open Trash and select one or more items.
2. Choose Delete Forever (Web) or Delete (Mobile).
3. Confirm.

Permanent deletion cannot be undone, and the storage space is reclaimed immediately. You can restore or delete many items at once by selecting several before choosing an action.

Warnings

• If a trashed item is used in a Space, collection, or project, those references break once it is permanently deleted.
• Double-check before confirming, because emptying Trash is immediate.
• Items deleted by collaborators in a shared project also appear in the project owner's Trash.

Reclaim Storage

If your storage is full, open Trash, select items you no longer need, and choose Delete Forever to free up space. See Settings and Security for how to check your usage.
